Proper 924 Turbo badge panel for 944S2 or Turbo

I think that the probelm witn trying to get a group but for this is that its going to be a real struggle to get any sort of consensus as to which version enough people actually prefer. Personally that one on Mr Cannells site is my least favourite variation on the theme as the two openings look too bunched in the centre of the panel to me and are a bit small and out of proportion. I agree. The opening needs to be the same width and height as the one below it on the standard PU. They are so close together that they need to match or it looks all wrong.

It can be a single opening or it can have a strut in the middle, again matching that of the opening below.

Given the option my preference would be for one like the LR one. However, if there was a group buy available, provided the opening matched that in the PU, had rounded ends and more importantly had funnelling or built in ducting inwards towards the intercooler, I'd be in for it !

I think a group buy on front mounted intercoolers would be a much better idea and eliminate the need to 'chav up' our nice cars. I'm currently in the process of measuring up and finding an intercooler to suit. I can't justify £1000 + postage for the Speed force racing one when a perfectly good intercooler of similar design can be bought for under £100!

Once done I will be making up hard pipes and brackets to suit so could have a few more sets made and point you in the direction of where I got the intercooler from?

Like the sound of the front mount, I fitted one to my old 924 turbo, got all the samco bends from Rallydesign and then used aluminium tubing for hard pipes.

I like the automotion one as it seems to fit in well with original bumper slots.

I like the original style one (four holes, preferably in metal), but would it not be possible to fashion some kind of clip thing to retain a grille - I think a black or body colour aftemarket grille would look pretty tasty.

Hi all,
The one on ebay is one of mine which is the same as the lindesy racing and design 911 which i sell for £130. I can also make a more standard looking panel with one two or (like the 924 turbo badge panel ) four holes.
If anyone is interested let my know.[IMG]

Now a 924 turbo badge panel is one bodywork mod that I think looks REALLY good.

I could be quite tempted by this ...

Oli.

You're not too far from Essex are you Oli? Could be pursuaded to part with my 924T badge panel as I fancy a change, so you could have the grills[:D]. I really like the panel in the post above, but want to know what the quality and fit is like before buying... but Essex is like, light years away!!!

I am certainly interested (and only just over the border from Essex !) would also be interested as to where you source the grills for the slots and how they attach ?

Just ordered a standard one from RUMS so will let you know how I get on with it:)

Good man Ben

Jon, take a look at the picture to see how they attach on the OE panel - there are 2 of those 'lips' on the bottom and 1 on the top. The grills are no longer available from OPC as far as I know?

Hmm if the grills are no longer available then thats something to bear in mind, no point me getting a holey badge panel if I can't source any grills for said holes. Has anyone come up with an alternative solution ?
