Proposed Social Run - Sunday June 28th - Bibury Trout Farm

Hi Michael & Sally. Please include my wife ( Linda ) and myself for 2 lunches, these being 2 courses. Thanks Sounds like a great day out, let's hope we have good weather. Regards. Phil.

Sadly I can no longer make this date, as I'm now going to be on holiday. Please count me in on the next one. Have fun!

Thanks very much Michael - see you at the garden centre! I'm on my own in the Boxster so if anyone wants a lift, just ask. I promise not to play too much trance music on the way... Chris.

Lunch bookings is now closed. [:)] For those that let me know I have booked table for a 1330hrs lunch at the Swan Hotel Bibury (2 mins walk from the trout farm) for myself an Sally, Roy and Helen Smith, Chris Valentine, Philip & Linda Knight and Eddie & Marilyn Smith. Cost of this lunch is approx. £17 for 2 courses or £20 for 3. Not sure how the hotel will bill us so may be worthwhile having some cash with us to split the food bill out. Can I suggest, for simplicity we just pay cash for our drinks as and when we get them. The route I was going to take was A43 towards Brackley and at the Barleymow roundabout turn right onto the B4031 towards Croughton and then Deddington, Hempton, Chipping Norton, A361 towards Burford and after short distance on the A43 a left onto the B4425 to Bibury. In Birbury where the road turns sharp left over the river (trout Farm is in front of you and the Swan Inn in on the right) carry straight on a after just past the Trout Farm car park you will see a sign on the left for Shoecroft Farm. This is our reserved parking area. Other routes are available! See you at the Bell Plantation café for a 1030 start (café opens at 1000hrs) and lets hope the weather holds Regards Michael

hi Michael, will be joining you from the A421 hopefully by the Croughton roundabout. see you Sunday. Eddie and Marilyn.

Hi Michael & Sally just to let you know we will aim to join you some where on the A361, we will be in the silver 996 turbo cab so will hope to tag on the end around 11 ish. My no is 07974936285 in case you need to contact us, thanks Geoff & Timmy.

Our thanks to Sally & Michael, for organising the run out to Bibury, which Lin and myself thoroughly enjoyed, as I'm sure everyone else did. The weather initially looked a bit grim, but as the day wore on, became very pleasant. We chose to make our way home via the A40/M40, Oxford, but we met heavy, slow moving traffic, but hey, it was Sunday afternoon. Great Day. Thank you both, for great venue, and good company all round. We ought to do something similar, and make a week-end of it.!! Lin and myself may well 'cobble' something together. Watch this space. Phil & Linda

I went back the same way - why anyone would want to live near the A40 I'll never know! As above, thanks for organising Michael. The weather certainly didn't ruin the day. Scoff was absolutely too notch. Chris.
