I have worked with Actuators for many I mean loads of different applications.
And I can tell you this actuators seize but hardly ever brake with working and lube you can normally always get them going again even when they've not moved for years.

Im not saying there accessible on a PSE exhaust because I've not worked on the system, I'm just passing on what I know about Actuators.

Failing that they look like Vacuum ones to me and I've had loads on waste gates on cars that I'm sure would fit.

Not saying that fits but just as an example its generic parts that manufactures use, Try to get some specs and research it.

Also try part no: "997 111 90 1 90" I think it might be the same.

Well thanks guys, Paragon have quoted £55 + Vat each but I think I might try taking them off first and seeing If I can free them based on thirteeneast info. I have checked the ebay option and whilst they do look similar I won't know until I remove them.
I'll let you know Seb but as the car is not effected (far from it, my exhaust is stuck on loud) I'm not going to rush to lay on my back!

PSE will go quiet at certain revs and between 30 and 50 mph due to EU regs. The only way to make it loud all the time is to unplug it in the engine compartment. This will prevent it from going quiet at the designated revs/speeds but will obviously make the button redundant. It will still light up but not do anything.
If you switch the button at tickover it is unmistakeable if its working. Light on-loud , light off - quiet. This is for the 997, I can only assume 996 is the same.

You can disconnect the speed signal wire to the relay (grey/pink) on the back of the relay panel, or remove the relay, take off the cover, and snip the connection to the pin.
