2007 Cayman 36,000 miles. Tucked up in the garage while we're in USA. Return to battery failure. Replace and it's fine, apart from the computer giving me a PSM failure fault warning before I've even taken it out.

There must be a correlation between the battery meltdown and the sudden appearance without previous warning?

Any input before I have it looked at.

Lots of issues and faults flash up die to low battery voltage. It may clear if you drive it for a bit and the car re-learns the new battery.

This is normal if battery disconnected. Things like MPG and trip miles will also have reset. Once driven PSM will be OK as it detects signals from the wheel sensors. You should also open both door windows (doors closed). Hold button when closing until fully closed so computer learns full closed position (for setting window drop).
