Question for Carrera Club Sport owners

You really shouldn't let hot pressures get above 36psi IMHO. As for starting at 36, sounds mad to me. I don't know anyone who runs the factory rear pressures for track days. Even for the road they are regarded by most as stupidly high. FWIW, I try to get 32 hot all round for R compounds. I might let road tyres run slightly hotter if I felt the sidewalls needed the pressure.

Richard,

What pressures do you run for the road ? I had my rears nearer 30/31 when I first got the car - then changed them to 34 ( factory setting for an SC ) - afterwards it didn't feel so good at the back !

Cheers - Gary

Maybe ite down to personal preferance but I've always run my car at factory pressures on the road. Occaisionally the rears have droped to 30psi and I have not liked the liked the feel of the car..

My experience of factory pressures for track days has not been bad where the typical 7-8 lap sessions have not caused any problems with excessive heat in road tyres. Clearly Richard and Andy have gained some benefit from going lower

Pretty similar to RB

For road I used 29/32 Cold

For track 23 F/B Cold (on a typical British summers day) up to 33 F/B Hot

Having got that all sussed I've got to start all over again leasrning the GT3 - I think most people use the factory cold road pressures of 32/39 & aim for around 31/32 hot track pressures. Expect with the extra weight & stopping power that the cold to hot pressure gain will be at least 10 PSI once I've learned to drive it.
