PCGB Region 10 "˜Pride of Ownership' Concours 2013

This year our "˜Pride of Ownership' Concours will once again be held at:
Porsche Centre Silverstone (Old Tiffield Road, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 6PF), on Sunday 11th August 2013, following a very similar format to last year.

We are limited to 36 cars in the competition on a first come, first served basis. This is not intended to be a "take all your wheels off and spend 24 hours cleaning them with your tongue" concours event (although you're perfectly welcome to do that, if it floats your boat) rather an emphasis on enthusiasm and pride of your vehicle; you'll not be alone.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the highest scorers in the following categories:
(make sure you're clear which you've entered!)

*Best Aircooled (covering 356, 550, 912, 914, early 911, SC, 3.2, 964, 993 etc)
*Best Early Watercooled (covering 924, 944, 928, 968)
*Best Modern Watercooled (covering 996, 997, 991, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne & Panamera)

*Best Overall "" the winner of this trophy will have achieved the highest score out of all entries from the three categories above.

*Best Visitor "" this category is for non-R10 members.

*Best non-Porsche - this category is mainly aimed at our Associate members who may not yet have a Porsche, but can still join in this event. Full members are also welcome to enter a car as well as entering the Porsche categories.
Non-Porsche means exactly what it says (i.e. any motorised vehicle of interest, including motorbikes "" within reason"¦) Because of the potential diversity of this category, Members will judge amongst themselves for the winner here - hopefully providing some contrast to all the Porsches. I would personally like to see a few older classic cars amongst these entries. Unusual entries will be welcome, but will also need to be OK'd prior to the event, please (I know Bob would like to bring his tank![;)])

*Members Favourite "" Members will judge amongst themselves for their 'Members' favourite', which will also be awarded a trophy and prize.

The programme for the day:

10:00 Porsche Centre opens
11:55 Latest time for concours entrants to register
Tony Holland will be registering entrants, so make sure you seek him out earliest to get your car entered (Pre- event registration is the best way - see below).
12:00 Briefing
12:30 Judging begins
As always the judging will be carried out independently to help maintain a fair and equal competition.
14:30 Judging completed
15:30 Results and presentations

Registration forms will be available on website www.crazyspeak.co.uk/pcgb  Please download, fill in and email back to Tony Holland at tony.holland1@gmail.com. Entries can also be made on the day but pre-registering will assist and speed up admin.

A special thank you to Robin Simpson (Dealer Principal) of Porsche Centre Silverstone for his continuing enthusiastic support, which includes sponsoring the award trophies and, in particular, opening the dealership 2 hours earlier than normal, just for our Concours! This year we hope to see him on the day with his own 928GT.

I look forward to seeing you all on 11th August "" let's hope the weather is as good as last year and we'll all have a great day!

If you could all all state your intention to enter on this thread, too, please, it would be useful - Thanks![:D]
