R10 Gaydon visit - Sun 28 May 2017

LATEST on the Gaydon visit:

This is definitely scheduled for Sunday 28th May 2017 which is their Festival of Transport day (see their website here ) Our Region 10 Porsches will be part of this display:

1 To be included on the attendee list, if you have not already done so, you must PLEASE email me directly on r10@porscheclubgb.com (so I can be sure of numbers) with your name and Porsche model. This is essential!

2 Anyone attending, who intends to display MUST arrive between 8.30am and latest 9.45am on the day, please.

NOTE: This timing is very important, as all our vehicles need to be parked by a certain time. If you arrive any later, you will not be able to park together in the display area, will probably not receive the entry discount and may need to park in the general car park area.

I will initially be at the top (pay point) entrance area, where you will need to see me to receive an entry wristband (covering show and museum entry), in return for your £9 (cash ONLY, please, NO change can be given). Once you have your wristband, you will travel toward the display area and you must quotePorsche Club GB, Region 10’ in order to be parked together as is intended.

(Please note that if numbers attending fall below 12 in total, the entry will rise to the normal £14 - we are trusting that this will not be the case!).

3 I have been assured that our parking will be in an area which allows reasonable exit to the event if you need to leave ‘earlier’ than others.

(General finish time will be around 3pm, although museum is open until 5pm - if you want to exit earlier, your choice).

Looking forward to receiving your email as soon as possible, to make sure you don’t miss out...

Any questions, give me a shout - it should be a good day! [8D]

*PS Could all those who indicated their interest and have not emailed me specifically, PLEASE do so - then I know you’re coming... we need the numbers to make it a good day for all of us!

Hi Paul,

I have e-mailed you already.

Will I still be able to park with you guys as I am Region 9.

Kind regards,

Keith.

Of course, Keith - we all can, as long as we arrive there within the ‘allotted’ time (see post 21 of this thread).

Great, Harry. Please email me specifically if you can attend, so I can keep my list current? Ta. [;)]

Update as of 2 May 2017...

Can all who are attending please note the specific time for entry and more importantly please ensure you have your £9 CASH with you for entry, as there will be NO change given (see post 21 of this thread for more info).

Thanks all... looking forward to it [:D]

Lovely weather and hope you all enjoyed the day - we had around 25 cars and formed a nice display even if we were the German cars amongst all the Brits (of course) [8D]

Thanks for arranging this event Paul,I thoroughly enjoyed it! Nice to chat to old friends and also make some new acquaintances. Very impressed with the new museum facility and to see some of the wacky prototypes which never made production. I was particularly interested in the Mini convertible with its extended front wings to enable the use of a Ford engine and running gear of every other make you could imagine - a multi parts bin special if ever there was. And of course the weather made the day as well.

Regards,

Mike Allen
