R10 WOTY 2014

Hi Everyone After looking at all the club commitments and taking into account the few responses I've had re dates, I propose we go for the weekend of 19/20 July. This avoids the most popular events and is just before the school hols start (although this may vary by area!). Please come back to me ASAP with your confirmation or otherwise and I will start looking at hotels, etc. All they best, Ravi

Thanks Ravi - we now need people to say if they’re OK with this (19/20 July). Personally, I’ll have to see if I’m able to make it myself[:(], as the S.Classic setup is very soon in the week afterwards.

looks ok to me - will pop the date in the diary With another car club we go once a year up to penrith and the roads around the northern lake district and cumbria - roads are dead quite and pretty good fun - could be a shout??

Hi everyone, The R10 Weekend of the Year (WOTY) is confirmed for 19/20 July in North Wales and we have 8 cars confirmed so far :) I have found a suitable hotel in a lovely town called Criccieth (thanks Irina :) near Portmeirion which will serve as our base. It's the Caerwylan ( http://www.caerwylan.com/) situated near the sea front and a characterful Victorian building with great reviews on Tripadvisor and a well rated restaurant where we can have our Saturday evening group meal. The only slight issue is that there is limited off road and private garage parking (small Welsh town!) which you will have to request when booking. Plenty of on road parking which I am personally ok using. Rooms are going fast so please confirm to me that you are ok with this on ravifernandez@btinternet.com ASAP. Once I have at least 5 confirmations, I will let you all know and we can start the booking process. If you would prefer something different however, there is plenty of other accommodation in town so please book and confirm as I won't have time today to do a wider search. You can find more options at visitwales.com. Please email me or reply via the forum if you have any comments or questions. Waiting with bated breath for all those replies :) All the best, Ravi

Hi folks, I forgot to say that you need to book directly with the hotel to get the remaining rooms. Cheers, Ravi

" ?? Ravi are you saying wait for 5 confirmations prior to booking,

Hi All I now have the 5 confirmations so please go ahead and book direct with the hotel. I have :) Cheers, Ravi

Hi Jonand(?) That's a shame :-( There are quite a few guesthouse and hotels in Criccieth so may be worth checking around. Good luck! Ravi

We just wanted to say a big thanks to Ravi, for organising a very enjoyable weekend. The Hotel and location was great, good to get away and meet up with some nice people. Thanks again. Bob and H.
