I dont think that you can get away with it without some form of interior 'delete'.
The rear cage mounts are normally placed on the top of the wheel arch so you need to get to them somehow...
There are a few guys in the 968 world that use a Bray-krusse (sp?) half 'cage' that mounts on the seat belt posts.... but i doubt thats an FIA spec one ....
Roll centre did a half cage for my brothers 968 a while ago.. nice cage but the guys that fitted it did a real nice job of keeping the carpets intact.. (seats had to go though)
