Race Seat Install

Only difficulty remaining is that the inner mounts, if I use eye-bolts, foul the auto heat control, so the seats won't slide right forward. Still thinking of the best solution but I have a couple of ideas. Photo will not upload so you will just have to imagine.

In other news, the car actually feels a little lighter. In my favourite acceleration testing area the car feels a little faster - a bit like the difference between having my wife in the car or not. The balance feels ever so slightly different as well. Weird. Ride height has also risen ever so slightly - maybe 5mm, maybe just my eyes playing tricks [:)]

Richard,

You could convert your heater to the club sport system i.e. the old levers to solve your seat belt mounting problem ? I have as given my last porsche was a 71 I cannot get use to such luxury ?

Richard,
I think that Simon might well have the solution here. Backdating the whole of the heating system is also a way of shedding a few pounds without any seriously negative effect on the efficiency of the system (not that it was ever that great, so you won't miss much !). You could take out the footwell blowers too as they are a bit unnecessary, that will save ooooh at least a pound !

Thanks guys - good lateral thinking [:D]

There are easier ways to skin this particular cat though. I am going to try some different bolts and things first. BTW, my footwell blowers have never worked. Must remember to bin them for less weight :p

My footwell blowers have never worked either - I'm taking the opposite approach and am going to see if I can get them fixed !
