There are some details in the 944 FAQ's sticky thread above.
Thanks ... but a bit hidden and how do you register your attendance and gauge who's going? As a customer of RAS will not be going on the ramp, but certainly will attend .... only a few weeks away now.

Send a PM to Paul to get on the list of attendees. He does seem to be AWOL at the moment....
Yes events are bit hid up there though they do get swallowed up quite quickly amongst all the new threads on the forum proper if they aren't stickied in that section (maybe it should be retitled "944 FAQ's and Event Diary" or similar).
Paul did post a few days ago saying that places were filling up fast, though am afraid I have no idea who is planning to go and who is on the list already.

Thanks yet again as a 944 newbie I seem to forget how you guys are so organised. As an organiser my self over the years I have sometimes had to Bang the Drum hard to get full displays, free dyno days, group meets and curry nights to name but a few .... most were fully subscribed but had to post hard here on this Forum.
Cheers, glad it's going well they are nice bunch down there at RAS a breathe of fresh air in the Indy's............ and a rare find in SE London.
I'm sure Paul has it all under his masterly control.

Lol - I get a 3-day holiday and at least I'm missed! [
I've not organised this event through the forum primarily as it's open to all, including those who aren't forum users. I've got a list of attendees, but there's still space for cars on the ramps and plenty of room for anyone to come for the day anyway.
Des, it's in the "events" faq. We do need to work out how we get over people not looking in the faqs without creating "sticky hell" on the main forum. [
Paul thanks fir the reply .... hope you had a good three days Holiday bet you missed the Forums[

Plenty of room for a temporary Sticker promoting this event ..... Register Members head of the line for the free Inspection ... let's use the power of this Forum ..... when we originally spoke you were going to post here (did not think it would be lost in FAQ) at the same time it appeared in Porsche Post.
Hope it will be a big success for both RAS and 944 Register .......

Hi Des,
Just keep bumping this thread! I'm not going to start stickying every event, or this will look like the 964RS forum. [&:]
If people can't learn to look at the permanent "events" listing, updated regularly, then it's no reason to clutter up the main forum for everyone else. In fact, I'm going to move all the stickies to the sub forum, and rename it something like "look here", or "Oi, useful info in here". [
]
Ras is looking like a very good event, as is the Porsceshop open day and Porsche & Polo. If you're not booked in then contact me ASAP.

It's our 944 way of natural selection.
If you can't find your way into the Events post in the FAQ's then we don't want you at the events [
I am of course joking, but we definately dont want tons of stickies everywhere [:'(]
Yes the 964RS Forum did get out of hand by the Gruppenfuehe Herr Von Spear, he rules with a rod of Iron and is a natural Dictator punishing any disention in the ranks by exterminating their post or posts in fell swoop of his fist. His Stickies ran to two pages .... and Bernard Aubrey is yet to teach someone to drive!
Doing a great job Paul, maybe it's because I'm a Virgo.[

Names to me ASAP please. Does anyone know a pub local to here we can adjourn to afterwards? Des is buying......[8|]
Hi Paul .... there are a few good places to regroup, would suggest I come up with a route on the day ... Brands Hatch is only 10 minutes down the road, but there is a bike meeting on .... however Eynsford comes to mind "The Plough" good food and coffee ... decide on the day ... if the majority are London bound then "The Bull " Chislehurst is cool .... see you then.

Plenty on board for this now, it'll be a really good day out. If there's not enough time for every car to get on the ramps then come along anyway. It's always hugely interesting, if not a little scary, to see the underside of a 944!
Anything you specifically want to talk about or see demonstrated on the day (within reason [
]) let me know so we can pre-warn the guys at RAS.

What are we talking about here?
Date? A mosy around at an indie in SE London sounds right up my street ...
Oli.
Hehe, see the "events" thread in the "faqs" section for regular updates of the exciting calender we have. [
It'll be good to see you there if you can make it.
