Really good body shop?

I'm after a really good body shop around Oxford? I've got a bit of rust come up on my car and want it cut out and a really good job made of it. I've had a place called top gun recommended but was wondering if you lot know anyone. Thanks. Greg

Travel the distance to get a good body shop. The work has to last years, you are only investing a few extra hours. Daytona Coachworx at Stevenage is experienced and thorough.

Not near you, but Quality Vehicle Refurbishment in Daventry have never disappointed me!

+1 for Dave at Daytona, he is a Porsche enthusiast and both he and Gordon know these cars well. Good value work too.

Just googled premiere they have some terrible reviews!!!! Have a look

Never believe internet reviews.....[:'(]

For a proper, experienced bodyshop then I'd either go to Specilised at Reading or Daytona. That said, a 944 is only a car, so any decent bodyshop is perfectly capable of doing simple repairs.

I went to a local "classic car" guy, recommended by local Region members, and paid a LOT less than at a larger concern. The only criticism is that he wasn't as familiar with stripping the car and re-assembling it, so there were a few little electrical gremlins to sort. I suspect that's always the case with an old car coming to bits; something plastic will be brittle.

Dentech in Witney, there's always the odd Porsche around being done, speak to Ryan 07775858343 give him my name. Price should be about half the price of specialised and similar standard.

I had mine done in 2009 by Specialised Paintwork at Calcot near Reading (by M4 just behind Reading OPC). Back then Karl reckoned they were doing 3 or 4 944s a month, so they know what they're doing. He used to have a 944 I believe.

Proper job, cut all rust out, replaced with steel, paint/stone and chip a perfect match, then Waxoyled. Four years on it still looks good and the rust hasn't returned. Even gave me a lift to Theale station.

Thanks for all this I am a member but it always has Said guest. I took my car to top gun today really nice guy and know what he was on about but he didn't want to touch my car. He said he was not setup to work on these sort of cars. It is my 911 930 super sport and is concours except this rust patch with only 18,000 on the clock and he does more run of the mill insurance work. I'm going to get a bit of rust sorted out on my 944 but going to wait until winter I can't stand it being of the road when I could drive it. I'm not so fused with the 911. But have had a good day driving it about today started first time and has not moved for a couple of months good old Porsches for you.

A pic it's not bad as you can see but I love my cars and want to look after them and keep the going
