Rear anti roll bar bracket

An opel you say? do vauxhall's have ecu's, was it a mantra, the car you could cover in petrol and throw a lit match at it and it would not catch light, because s##t don't burn!!!

only kidding.....mmm...no really....only kiddingish!

I liked my manta's, all three of them. Great handbrake, could lock the rears really easily.

[:-]

I did have three :) (plus a 3.0 Monza GSE with a turbo, a bit like a super Manta, two tonnes sliding sideways [:D])

but only one actually got crumpled.

As to the handling, it was actually quite good when compared to Escorts and Capri's (once fitted with 400lb coils & bilstein trac dampers and lowered 4") Double wishbone front and panhard rod located rear axle. Oversteer was easily accessable and easy to control. The handbrake meant you could spin it about whenever you wish. Lots of smiles per mile.

Well, I had two of them and compared to the 911 the handling sucked IMO. Neither of my Mantas had LSD. I had Koni adjustables all round on the last one. Lowered both of them and had uprated front springs on the first one & then later fitted them to the second car after trying the stock suspension.
Compared to the 911 of course the car was excellent value for money but I know which car is more "Bootable". I found the Mantas to have unpredictable handling, sometimes they undered sometimes overed and not linked to the loud pedal at all [:'(] unlike the 911.
