rear brake calipers

Simple answer on the discs is no. The Boxster caliper is designed to run a 24mm thick disc and a bigger diameter (ie., a Brembo or Alcon race disc on a zero offset mounting bell) would require a radial adapter to move the caliper out. You might be able to bore out the throat of the caliper to run a thicker disc but this may still not allow the use of say a 28mm thick disc which is the obvious Porsche OE disc (964 or 944T) and which would also require a radial adapter.

I would love to join you at Spa. Watch this space.

Just to add further confussion:
I've just seen 993 calipers - complete set for £300. (wreckers)
930 rotors, new for £55.00 (approx)= £220.00
Plus RB's estimate of the USA kit @ $415 = £231.00
Total £750.00
Plus Pads, new metal lines, fluid. Hoses
Call it around £1K..... not bad me thinks?
Both nineminster and type911 are amazed at the price of the above.
PS. my 911 runs 17" cup's - "shiet it in"!
Hang in there baby![8D]

Balance is great. I am currently using Pagid Blue front and PFC97 rear pads to move a tad of bias rearwards and this seems better than Blues all round

The only thing missing is that you need the 5mm bearing spacer from VCI in addition to the above. I had the calipers refurbed after return from VCI. You can use any 964 calipers or the early 944T front calipers.

You may want to investigate the Boxster calipers that Andy Tims is using with 28mm discs as this is a newer caliper (maybe lighter and stiffer?) and may be easier (cheaper?) to adapt to use on our cars. May also be easier to buy.
