Hello all, found this post after searching as my rear brake pipe has sprung a leak. While I’m in there I’m going to replace both rear lines and have contacted a couple of companies as mentioned in this thread.

BRT seem to be the most on the ball and can supply the hose(s), but they need confirmation of the connector sizes. I believe one end is M10 and possibly M12 the other but am unsure.

would anyone be able to help?

thanks

tim

Hi there, when you say rear brake pipe, do you mean the flexis, or the hard line? If it's the hard line, which can suffer terribly from corrosion underneath and around the plastic retaining clips, then depending how bad and how high up it is, it can mean full engine out to replace it! Great design Stuttgart, thank you! Once out of course, you'd be silly not to address IMS/RMS/ oil separators/clutch etc...(unless you were already very confident in these consumables), so you can end up with quite a bill for what started out as something that you might have thought of as being no big deal. Some competent indie shops will do a good job of splicing in a section and a union using copper nickel pipe that can be fabricated to fit down to where the flexis start. Just sharing some recent experience. Good luck all.

Hi, I recently had my over-gearbox brake hardline replaced with a flexi at my local specialist, they were able to source a braided hose (of the right length and with the right fittings) to replace the hardline from RPM Technic

Hi Skate99, I’d be interested to know where you sourced the flexible hose for this job (or who your specialist is) as I need this doing as well but trying to avoid the 12hours labour I’ve been quoted. I’ve seen "Rocket Dog” appear to offer not only a braided flexi kit but a full brake pipe kit can anyone confirm or has used this at all? Thx
