Recall 991 fire issue

Can anyone confirm which models of 991s are affected, is it only gen 1 or does it also affect gen 2s?
I have a 991.2 GTS and haven't received a letter yet

Thanks Nick for posting this link.
It states there is no recall on my vehicle which is great news.
Many thanks
Dave

Rightly or wrongly, I have read elsewhere this is not a recall but the wording is slightly different. Therefore unlikely to be found on the recall site - I wonder if someone who HAS had a letter would mind checking if their vehicle has a recall on it Based on this site link?

my letter says "important - Non-Coded Action"
and...porsche will fit an additional heat shield on next visit to your preferred porsche centre.... and you can continue driving normally until then....etc

doesn't say 'recall' anywhere in my letter.

Thanks Richard,
So it would appear that the letter is separate from an "official recall".
I suspect like other manufacturers Porsche only issue recalls as a last resort and try to manage other defects or issues via low key methods!

Got my letter and it just states "911 vehicles of the 991 model line" doesn't mention anything on yearmodel .....
Although it looks like the letters are going to Gen1 owners

I have not received a letter either and have a 991 Gen2, so from the admittedly very small sample on this thread, it would appear that the letter relates to 991.1s.

Is there any way someone who has such a letter could anonymise it and post a picture of theirs on here? This way, we can more easily choose whether it is something we wish to query with our respective OPCs, as and when they re-open.

Thanks,
Keith

@KeithJewers - I have an anonymised letter I can send you but total PITA to upload images here - so can email it to you if you want a copy? not much in it though other than stated already. Written very low-key and only one three line paragraph of real info - saying basically don't worry, next time you're in we'll add a heat shield.

Richard,
Many thanks for your offer but another member has just kindly sent me a copy of his letter via another route.

As has been noted on this thread, it certainly does not look a serious risk but I will double check with my local OPC (when this is possible) why it has apparently been issued to 991.1 owners but not those with a 991.2.

Irrespective of this, the term ‘Non Coded Action’ still seems pretty strange.
