Region 8 Meeting, 3rd October 2005 at Coopers Arms, Weston On Trent

ORIGINAL: 996man

Hi Phil

With all due respect how can we discuss future events and committees / constitution etc before we know who is going to be RO going forward into 2006.

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Randolph - I know I can always count on you to say exactly what I was going to say...just before me!

Depending on who the RO is might depend on who wants to be on a committee[]

God I wish I was there tonight, sounds like a hoot[;)]

Hi All,
have to confess i didn't enjoy last night too much i have no axe to grind with Phil, I hope he will agree to continue moderating the forum for us.
I've just thrown togeather a report for the porsche post, fingers crossed im not too late and stephen can find room for it [:-]
Thank you all for attending it did get a little heated (in more ways than one)but, it was on the whole quite constructive so hopefully we can move on from here having cleared the air.

actually thanks to Robin Hainsworth who calmed everything down, said some things than needed saying and suggested a compramise that we all agreed would work it all went very calmly.. i didn't need my stab/bullet proof underwaer on after all.
i think several health and safety rules were broken as about 25 were crammed into a airless/windowless room designed for about 10 it was like a sauna by the end of the evening

Just 2 people with passionate views! Didn't you see my kevlar body armour under my t-shirt? tee hee

I'll carry on moderating if you like, that's not a problem. If you get a report to Stephen before close of play, I'm told he will get it in.

Good luck Helen, you have my full support and the support of a good team of people. I would have liked to be on your support team, but with my commitments, I can't guarantee when I can and can't be there, but will help as and when I can. I will not disappear from the scene.

Many thanks to everyone for the last 16 months.

Warmest regards

Phil
