I've been looking for some new mats recently but have been wary of buying over the internet without seeing the quality. In the end I decided to go with genuine Porsche mats and Mark at OPC Exeter has sold me a set couriered to me for I think (without finding my receipt) £70 or so. He could offer a good choice of colours all straight from Germany.

mats arrived already.....I dont collect the car until tomorrow!!
As stated before bought from porscheshop.co.uk.....the non-OPC ones they advertise
Quality ok. I would hope the OPC ones are better but have never seen them. Like the extra heel protector. Non slip backing.

Agreed, rang the OPC this morning and they quoted £71 + VAT for a full set. I'd then expect a bit of a club discount on that but you never can tell if you will get it or not as it doesn't seem to apply to everything.
Beware of false prophets, or in this case people telling you Porsche mats are no longer available. It'll cost you...

I bought some from Porscheshop last week (same as si30boxsters), they arrived day after I ordered them and are pretty good quality for the price.

Whenever I buy parts from Nottingham OPC I always get a larger than 10% discount without even asking. 15% seems to be the norm but I have had more.

Yes, I probably do! However paying £30 over the odds, relative to the amount my modest Porsche collection costs me
is not going to make much difference - and the CS is my favourite indulgence at the moment!!!
See you guys at Donington next month...
I'm surprised by this thread ... car mats are oddly-shaped bits of carpet, cut to fit the footwells. Posh ones have the edges treated so as not to fray too much. I can't believe talk of costs into three figures for what are effectively offcuts of carpet. I had the whole of a two-bedroom flat fully carpeted for only about three times the cost of those eBay-ed mats, with decent wool carpet and underlay. Such prices are outrageously expensive!
Take your old mats to a carpet fitter, ask him to use them as a template to create some new ones and also ask him to bind (or 'whip') the edges. You'll have as much choice of carpet colour and style as he can lay his hands on, you can choose whatever sort of edging you want and you'll get change from £30. £20 if you choose a cheap fitter.
Paying over £100 for some bits of carpet is nuts.
Oli.

Can we just clarify something here. I have been told by numerous sources that porsche no longer make 944 mats.
Where are you buying these OEM mats from please?
p.s I also have the porscheshop mats in my car for winter use, they are not great, and after about 2 years of limited use (less than 4k miles a year) the mats are looking very shabby with loose cotton threads, illegible 944 logo and fluff everywhere.
You get what you pay for guys.
James
Phone your local OPC and ask for some 944/968 mats. They'll tell you that they aren't in stock, but are available from Germany in a wide variety of colours for £71 + VAT, although you then should really pay the £18 + VAT for the retainers to do the job properly.
So the lesson is that Porsche do still supply these mats in "most" colours and a simple phonecall is all anybody needs to do to check. I suspect they don't make them in some low volume colour and this has been picked up as applying to all colours.
I lost out to Neil on the eBay mats.
I have managed to snag a set in black from my local OPC for a decent price but they had to expedite them from Porsche GB.
I was also told this was the last set in black available in either the UK or Germany.
As regards getting a set codged up by a carpet fitter - why go to all that trouble and end up with second best ?
My car is very original and I wanted to keep it as such. As another poster stated, "you get what you pay for"
