RH RS Replica wheels

Mick,
That would be a full engine rebuild. Ouch.
John

Ouch!! That's gonna hurt the wallet!!

I've got some work that needs to be done over the winter to the engine as well. Apparently one of the seal at the bottom of the middle barrel on the Left bank is leaking oil, getting worse as well, so the engine will need to come off to change that seal, which cost soemthing like 50p (ok, may be a bit more) with a labour cost of like £2-3k!! Will report progress later on openpitlane.com

I've also had a geo done on the car last Fri, can't beleive the transformation!! I was there with Chris Franklin from 10 am and we didn't finish till 9:30 pm!! When I get a mo I'll write up what we've done to the car in openpitlane as well. Have a look, and you might want to get the same done as well!!

It sounds like your car is heading towards a full engine rebuild Mick!!!!!

I would appreciate hearing about your set up experiences.

He's in Atherton, sort of north Leicestershire way, there a link to his web site here: http://openpitlane.co.uk/index.php?pageid=geo

Chris is restructuring the way he charges at the moment. This time the cost of the whole job was £460, but at the beginning of the day he agreed to cap the cost at £350 which is what I paid. If you think the amount of time he spent doing the work and explaining everything to you, worth every penny! The only thing is you need to be there with him, and it also helps if you're prepared to get your hands a bit dirty and do some of the simple bits yourself as much or as little as you want. The bit I like the most is unlike any other garages, he doesn't mind you looking over his shoulder as he does the work, so you can make decisions with him as you go.

Mick a lot 993rs leak oil at the base of the cylinders,i would not bother with it until you need a engine rebuild,or if its leaking very bad.Its false economy to stop there also, and best to strip right down for a complete job.
The one to keep your eye on is cylinder head leakage, again lots leak, and can get very expensive if left to long.

Only just had a chance to clean the car since it's fitted a few mths ago.

Aluminium centre, painted dark metallic grey, aluminium rims anodised.
