TBH it would most likely be depressing running Beaky as I think his glory days are past in respect of power. He hasn't done badly but with 200k under his belt and 1ltr of oil every 500 miles I think we can conclude compression ain't what it used to be.

Fair point, would love to see Beaky there but that makes sense. However you could always give it a run and blame a bad batch of fuel if required.

I almost envy 1 litre every 500 miles :ROFLMAO:, I can fill my 0.5l catch tank in 150 miles of pootling on the motorway [:)]

Btw, there is (or was, I've not been down there for a while) a cafe just opposite this place, not sure if it opens all Saturday (it is an industrial park after all) but could be very handy.

I would be interested in this too, as Aylesbury is pretty close to me. I could do with some good 944 banter - I am having crazy thoughts about letting mine go [:(] as I am unlikey to have much time to use it for the foreseeable future. A good day out should be enough to banish those thoughts.

indeed, you obviously got a sorted car, just think how miserable when you dont have one, even if you dont drive it!

I could possibly be temted to put my new 'monster' on the rollers;) I would like a before and after to make sure the gains I think I'm getting as I start changing bits are real.

Just to let you know I won't be able to attend a dyno day now[&:] the car is turning out to be a bit more hassle than I first thought! - surprise surprise.

Porka has gone om the missing list , where are youuuuuuu [:D]

I need to get my car on a rolling road before doing any mods so I intend to get it done in the next week or two. I'm hopeing this day is still on but if not I'm going to get a run or two done anyway.

There is a rolling road near to me in Royston but how do you know whose rolling road is any good I'm not too sure about that one ?

Cheers Mas

sorry everyone, wedding duties are taking over, i will organise one when i get back from the honey moon in approximately 7 weeks i will let you all know, hopefully itll be a bit warmer then as well, hope this is good for all!

I'm about to do a little bit of modding to my car so will probably have to get on a rolling road earlier. If anyone sees/heres of a group day in the home counties going on/booked let me know.

Cheers Mas

Hah, that's the level of commitment we get from you newer owners! [:D][:D][:D]

Hmmmmm, a week or two celebrating your nuptials [;)], hopefully somewhere hot, versus standing in a dusty draughty workshop listening to engines revving their nuts off surrounded by a bunch of hairy blokes in our anoraks

Tricky one :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Less of these excuses man, save them for when you have the ball and chain securely fitted [8D] ........... You should be enjoying every possible car day out now whilst you still can. Before you know it there will be three kids in tow and you'll need one of these ugly vehicles just to get about

And don't forget to keep the dear lady out of those Mexican jewellery shops that ply hubbie with free beer , they are diabolical as I found out [>:]

Multiple free corona ( with lime in top ) = yes dear go on you might as well have it [:)]

Cheers
Mas
