Rolling Road

Hello Guys

Have just fitted Wastegate, chipset etc and am thinking rolling road - anyone else with similar plans at the moment?

Rich

I've got an EBC which I need to fit and do a back to back with my last run. If there was a rolling road date on the cards it might make me get my backside in gear a bit quicker and install it.

I'll be organising the 944 Dyno Day 2008 soon (but not until I know I'll have my car back [;)])

The Weltmeister Dyno is now being run by Chris's new company in Wellingborough if we wanted to use the exact same one?

Hmmm, Wellingborough is a fair hike for us Northerners [8|], perhaps we can find an equivalent venue run by whippets?![:D]

Maybe we could arrange two - the usual 'rollers of truth' so that people who have used that one can carry out a true back-to-back on the same dyno, and one at another set of rollers to establish a baseline on another bed as it would be nice to have a back-up.

the rollers of truth went to germany - long way if you want the same one lol

I would be keen on a northern day.
Are the operators able to make adjustments? Mine has just passed the mot, but only just- on emissions. I'm planning on doing a sevice but could do with some help on this side.

I think that Wayne Schofield of Chip Wizard fame is supposed to be the guy for 944 turbos oop North, but trying to get hold of him is almost impossible...[8|][:D]

He operates from somewhere near Rochdale i think.

Once I've fitted my proper boost gauge, I am up for some North South 'rollers of truth' banter - 'ours' will obviously be both more accurate and show more gee gees.....![;)][:D][:D]

By the way, how do I adjust the Lindsay Racing MBC fitted to mine - can't get it to move, is it a push down and twist ratchet type thing?![8|]

Any other suggestions?

I think if my memory serves me correctly, you pull knob out turn then click closed to stop it moving.

But I have never moved mine so not sure.

I would be up for a northern rollers day if we could find a suitable venue.

Yep, that's right, pull the knob up/out then turn as you hold the knob out.

I'm up for a rolling road day wherever it may be!

I'm really hoping my car will be ready on Saturday so I can attend the Cotswold Rally. Then I will try to arrange the Dyno Day for late May, this gives enough time to gather the 20 or so people that we normally get to make it a worthwhile day.

I was told Chris took the Dyno Dynamics road to his new premises in Wellingborough but if this is not the case there is a company in Milton Keynes with the same model. We all know you cannot directly compare readings across different roads on different days but at least it narrows the discrepancies a little.

LIL will hopefully be on a Dyno Dynamics down in Bournemouth this weeks so we can at least see some sort of comparison with Weltmeisters beforehand

i called them today i have left my number so ill see if i get a call back tomorrow

Shaun if you have rung them I will let you see what reply you get.

If no reply by beginning of next week let me know and I will pop down and see them.

Keep us informed

When we get the dates together we should split into two seperate threads - Dyno Day north and Dyno Day south so we can keep track of who is going where.

I'll probably go to both anyway as they are great fun and any excuse to get some miles on the old girl [:)]
