Rough running on 3.2

All the owners I have spoken to have got missing plaques... according to Porsche many original owners removed them as a reminder of their car! (DOH) I managed to track one down via a auto-memorabilia dealer in Germany - paid a fortune for it but it looks great now its back where it should be (in the car)!
I think that it would be great to get all these aniversary cars together in the future (maybe at nxt yrs national event). You are only the second Targa owner I have seen in the last 4 yrs. It really is a rare car being one of ten - just like my cab. There is thread somehwhere about Carrera 3.2 values dipping - well an avg looking coupe anniversary has just sold for about £23-24K!! Looks like we have cars that are holding or even rising in value - the only prob. being Ive got no intention of parting with mine - so its all academic!
Good luck with the car.

Where?
I've been looking around for a few weeks/months for a decent 3.2 and would consider an anniversary model, but the ones I've seen have all been £15k on the nose.

Anniversary coupe sold £23k on ebay about 2 months ago - car based in republic of Ireland.
I have agreed valuation (AON) £23k for a cab.

wow

Here's one for you.....

88 3.2 Celebration Edition
FSH
133k
Full top and bottom end engine rebuild
New clutch
New exhaust
New disks and pads

How much would a car like this be worth?

Richard... any car is only worth what the buyer is prepared to pay - as with anything its value is based on the market need at the time of sale, how desperate the buyer is and also condition etc.
I can not value a car that I have not seen esp as I am not a car dealer. But its worth what you are prepared to pay and how flex the seller is too. But based on recemt cars that have sold it could be anywhere between 16.5-20k. (also is it private or trade sale?)
What is the body and paint like - is the interior intact - (remember its practically impos to replace the leather as it was a one off run nearly 20 yrs ago)... do you have any pix...
I am very keen on these cars and keep an eye out for them as they are advertised - unfortunately unless watching an auction like ebay you never know how close the sale price is to the asking price. That said if its a good un Id go for it as they can only go up in value as time goes by (depending on how long you plan to keep it). I spent 4 years looking for my car and would not sell it at any price (I think - lol). 3.2 Carrera's will always be popular and will always have a following so in theory you wont lose as the depreciation as already hit the lowest point (there are there abouts). Also there are less of these cars than club sports that command equally high values - good luck and if you have a pic mail it accross.
