RS Replicas

Thanks for your ponderings about the modified cars, I just wondered how many were out there and it seems that the general feeling is, no one knows, oh well it was just a thought.
May I wish you all a Happy Christmas and an enjoyable New Year.

I might be mistaken, but isnt that the old Porscheshop RS Replica car, that had it for many year and then moved it on.

Hi Tony , I'm sat at home surveying the icy landscape and not planning to go anywhere....so I will jump in on the thread instead !

That blue car is a strange beast that looks like the result of  'Lord Sugar's  would-be apprentices being given the run of Porscheshop's parts bin . More evocative of a 964RS than a 2.7RS especially if you ignore the ducktail.
I dont think its trying to be a replica however , so no-one should get confused unless they know absolutely nothing about 911s.

I reckon its worth 'a little' for a fun car to to track with if the brakes engine and suspension all hold up and the rust has not dined too well. Its a cheerful colour and has a certain jauntiness , the sort of thing Des might find growing on him after a nice bottle of claret [;)]........if I found myself at the auction on the day I might even wave my catalogue [:D]....fortunately the estimate and likely reserve is set too high for that to be likely .

At the risk of upsetting a genuine owner of an RS 2.7. Today, whilst out in my 64 RS in Old Windsor on the A308 (towards Runneymede) saw a lovely white on blue, looked absolutely great. I only say rep, as the salt and grit waggons were out last night. The reg DWC ***L - Anyone??? A great sight I must say!!!
