ORIGINAL: chfs911 That is one of the worst fake stickers I have seen!  Beware!
I asked Michael about the fact that it has a clubsport vin number and that the sticker is fake. Apparently the shell is stamped with the same number... the reg doc/service book and a letter from porsche saying it went to hong kong all state the chass no is 99266 and the chass no on the car is 99266 ! the engine number hand written in the service book is wrong but the engine number on the rest of the paperwork is 62n82879 All very strange....would be interesting to see if there is a cage that has been removed or to get pics of the actual chassis stampings....

Car sold..... All checks out apparently. Sold on behalf of a Harley st surgeon and sold through a current sponsored carrera cup racer. He's hardly gonna sell a ringer I wouldn't have thought !!!

ORIGINAL: davidcross An independent inspection will verify that things tally I guess
From someone who really KNOWS 964RS it certainly would be. I'm just interested in why it has a Clubsport chassis number (they are totally different sequences to normal lightweights) and fake sticker...just curious, might be an interesting story, porsche history is full of them. Wasn't aware that being a harley street surgeon or a carrera cup racer made you infallible though? No-one said it was a ringer - just it has the wrong chassis number so makes it kind of intriguing....

Should look like this

It's one you have to see in person. It's not coincedence it's been for sale for a very long time.

I do hope whoever is spending £50000 does their correct due diligence[8|]

at 38191 km there is a stamp from an official Belgian Porsche dealer RS motors at Ingelmunster. May be they know something more also? The owner, Rudy Maes is a nice guy with lots of interest in the older cars, he raced a 964Rs in 1992 and later (won 24h of Zolder with a 964 M003 car that he drove on the streets as a normal car) so may be he remembers something. regards Hgo

ORIGINAL: Melv Ref the sticker -it's got wet and they peel...........
The fonts on the white one are certainly very different to Charles's. Has anyone else got a 'late' car that they can take a pic of their sticker? I'd be surprised if Porsche ever changed its fonts but you never know...
