RSR Spoiler

Sometimes we can have fairly dry spells from banter on this forum, it seems a a shame to curb things when there is a flow,,,hope that doesn't get me in too much bother with the stasi? [:D]

going with the flow then, was in Ninemeister today, some fabulous porsche scattered around the workshops,
favourite was the x john chester black 993 gt2, just perfect:ROFLMAO:

Apologies to the original poster, this has gone way off topic [8|].  Steve, I suggest you start a new thread....

Dont worry , I hope he has found what he was after and has agreed to buy me set of spoilers. Have seen how much these parts are now at Porsche [8|] (Thanks Steve)

Ex Jc CGT ..............HES OUTED IT ?????????

Reads like 993 GT Vic, not CGT.
Assume this is the black car sold via PM / GT classics to city gent who then sold to buy evo which G bought and since sold back to TS.

Vic, easy mistake to make! Isn't this supposed to be your month off of the sauce?![:D]

Great to hear that car has appeared, fond memories of being on track at Brands with JC pedalling his Evo,,,never understood why he would get sent home for drifting round the whole of Clearways, when he clearly demostrated his skill and ability as a wheelman! [:D]

Wasn't G's Evo dark metallic blue???....assuming he is the chap with the 3.2SS?

JC's was definitely black, don't think he entertains that many colours.

Graeme s EVO Ocean blue ...................Essential is exactly right ..................currently with a German who trades in Mercs !

So he sold the black to buy the ocean blue Evo?...makes sense now, up to a point!
perhaps I should drink something? [:D]

Think JC had his Black 993 gt2 converted to clubsport spec, the current lucky owner is having the clubsport
conversion reversed back to factory standard, this means welded roll cage removed and interior steelwork back to original, also the roof lining replaced, dashboard, door panel tops & carpets replaced, what recession?

And to make things a bit more incestuous...

The guy who bought the black ex JC evo was selling a yellow 993 RS to buy the midnight blue GT2. I agreed to buy the yellow RS but got gazzumped at the 11th hour so I bought the midnight GT2 leaving the said fellow to buy the balck ex JC car. Which he then sold to buy the ocean blue evo GT2 which was then sold onto Greame. I sold my Midnight blue car via TS to said merc dealer who then sold it to buy the ocean blue evo from Greame.

all clear???

I think the music has now stopped.

That makes sense from the point of value, I remember 9M building that cage, certainly looked factory standard of finish when completed.

banker from UK clearer sold the black evo to buy the blue evo which was then sold to G

Mike, just shows it is a fairly small Porsche world for these cars.

Ref PH, are you about to be in the seat of the ultimate modern Porsche, the next time the music stops?

I think there are 2 types of the manufacturer label on the spoiler - the older one which is riveted and the newer one, a sticker unless of course I got a fake [:D]

Harry all mine ....a few ,have had little pins in each corner..........i do believe the factory kit came from two different sources so that may just be chance

Re the trading of blue yellow and black cars ...............u cud nt make it up cud u?Promise ESSENTIAL RIGHT AGAIN.....................

Small point ,cage from Black car was a copy of the one in my Audi rs blue car ,made up by the Littlejohns for JC

It is a very small world and from my perspective I had made my mind up to buy a 993GT2 a couple of years back. That led me to buy IMO the most awesome road going turbo that Porsche ever built. But that is not the end of the story. As a very big bonus I now have some very good like minded mates, Vic, Essential plus Andy and Matt at Fearnsport. I have also met through this JC, Russ, Nick Moss, Des and a few more chaps that are all stand up guys.
