Our car has a GT3 front end. Personally at first i would have preferred the turbo looking front, but i have come to see the GT3 look is more elegant, which goes in line with the car being for a woman. The turbo look is more aggressive.
As for the car topping out just over160, i can't explain why. The engine pulls better thoughout the gears in every aspect of the rev range, but top speed seems to be down a little. Maybe if the road was straight and long enough it would keep creeping up. My only explanation could be that the 911 engine is not being fed enough air from the Boxter body at high speed. I am no engineer so this is more likely to be a figment of my imagination.

That is indeed the case. The 3.4 is a lot easier to install as you don't have to mess around with the MMU/wiring/instruments.The idea about the breathing could be a good one. Is that what is it then? The engine from the early 996? And the 3600S is the engine from the later 996?
