Run to Whitby - 15th September 2007

Region 11 are having a weekend in York from the 14-16th September - I have been asked to arrange a run over the moors finishing at our favourite fish and chip restaurant in Whitby - so come on lets give them support. I will arrange a new route - starting from Specialist Cars, Malton - watch this space for further details.

Make a note it is Saturday 15th.

Arrangements have now been made to meet at Specialist Cars, Malton at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 15th September. From there we will do our usual run over the moors (new route!) to Whitby for lunch at Trenchers at 1 p.m. Parking will be arranged - we look forward to good weather and a warm welcome for members from Region 11.

Route will take us from Malton on the Helmsley road as far as Nunnington turn off, then across to Wombleton, Kirby Moorside, Hutton le Hole, Blakey, Rosedale Abbey, Lealholm and Whitby arriving in time for lunch at 1 p.m.
Found a great road yesterday across the moors to Lealholm , fantastic view of the Esk Valley, Glaisdale and the coastline

Fully intend to be there but knowing my recent luck with Porsche events it's anyones guess.

Like Adam it may depend on the weather but John and Rita's routes are so good it may even be worth coming if it's pouring down.

Is the Eldred clan making an appearance?

On a separate note is anyone going to the Specialist Cars day at Croft on the 20th.?

Expect to have in the region of 20-25 cars, hopefully in fine weather. Cannot judge the coast it only rained here for an hour today - the garden still needs watering unfortunately!

Can you let me know if you are coming on Saturday - I have to let the Council know the number of spaces to reserve on the Endeavour Wharf car park by Wednesday.

Forecast for the weekend is fine and sunny, so come and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors and coast.

Still hoping the weather will hold till Saturday. I see we will meet at Specialist Cars at 10h00 but what time are you planning to leave their premises for the run into the North Yorks Moors?

10h30 or 11h00???
It will help with planning our departure from Sheffield

Planning to leave Malton at 11 a.m. - lunch has been reserved for 1 p.m.

Most have indicated their plans on the forum - Region 11 will have 9 cars so probably 20 in total so far.

strong possibility I might be come along for the drive but not the chips ( although it is my Mother in Laws 60th the same day which might put a spanner in teh works).

I would like to come on Saturday, it will depend on what my wife is doing , and if she is taking our baby or if I have him (I think she is planning a shopping mission with her mum)
If she takes the little un I will be there and probably drag my dad along for the ride. Sorry for the late notice, as I can't be sure don't include me for the fish and chips, but I could do with a reason to take the car out for a blast.
