Rust Proofing

I just received the goods which was excellent service and the tin says that the liquid needs to be at least 15 degrees and they advice to keep it in a warm room for at least 24 hours before applying it so I shall do that, then dry off the car then apply it.

I did want to apply the hydrate 80, but it seems that needs to go onto bare metal and as I am not going to be doing that would it be a waste to paint it onto the sills paintwork. Maybe I could apply it to the under side of the sills or even pour some into the door vents before I apply the wax coat?

Either way, doing this now has got to be better than doing nothing I guess

I think the Hydrate 80 is a product to apply to bare metal once you have rubbed rust off it. I did this on some patches of rust on the sills on my S2 in the summer (they really were just surface patches, showing that sills don't always rust from the inside out) and put several layers of Hydrate 80 on top. I haven't looked closely at it recently, but I think it is protecting the bare metal pretty well.

For the inside of the sills, spray the wax in with the lance (tube) provided.

There was an interesting thread here: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=621624#post621624
Some of the posts are from a guy who works for Bilt Hamber so obviously he will be telling you how good it is but judging by the pics posted up it works.
