Rutland 2015 - THE 944 meet

ORIGINAL: _ian I wouldn't worry about rain. Traditionally it snows that weekend and we all agree to postpone a couple of weeks. We all then show up and stand around shivering in the cold wind or huddling together in the cafe clutching a hot chocolate or coffee.
ORIGINAL: 944Scott I would like to come but if its peeing down with rain like Snetterton I think I would cancel given my disastrous last outing [:(]
Lol my insurance company might.

I will be coming along in the 944 track car, travelling up from Welwyn Garden City. If anyone is interested, I have just booked Cadwell Park on the 23rd with these guys http://trackaction-online.com/zencart/ I will probably stay up there as Rutland Water is about halfway, so makes no sence heading back home that night. Looking forward to meeting you all at last. Ross

I'm looking forward to attending and meeting you all...... A quick scoot up from Brampton near Huntingdon and not put put off by any weather!

It'll be great to see some new faces. This is always one of the best events for the 944 crowd, and despite what Andy says turn up in anything if your 944 is off the road. [:)] Just park the other side, where I'm normally to be found in the van....[&o]

Some reminders of past years -

We do tend to get to various things over the summer but there is so much other stuff going on it always seems to be smaller numbers.

We really need a summer meet, the last picture looks so much better with a bit of sun.
Keep an eye on the event calendar, and are you on the facebook group? The trouble with the spring and summer is that there is just too much going on. With the active regions there is almost always something every weekend, and that's without other local car meets. It's hard to fit "national" Register meets in as well, as most 944 owners won't cross half the country if there's an event a few miles from home. That's why Rutland has such a great turnout. It's not in the busy season, so for many of us it's easy to fit in when other clubs are all laying their cars up in Carcoons for the winter! [&:]
