RV8 Conversions

What I forgot to specify above is that I already don't run a/c or power steering,, so that makes an install for me much simpler. In fact the entire front of the block can be plated over if I go for an in-hose coolant pump I believe.
 
I use Andy Moss in Honiton. He charges £30/hr, but for big projects he doesn't seem to worry about counting every hour.

Bargain! Sounds very good. (Here I wonder, again, why I am living in London.)

Even around the London area it's possible to find specialists charging around the £50 per hour mark - not too bad considering the costs they have to cover. Add in the fact that a good specialist will be quicker than an inexperienced mechanic, and it doesn't seem quite so painful in the south-east [;)]
 
£50/hr would be good - who charges this? I use Tower Porsche who are at £65 (twice what Fen pays). But their work seems good so I mustn't grumble too much.

I take your point about an expert doing things quicker and better than a jack-of-all-trades, and thus working out better value.
