If you go onto ANY tuning website, they all make claims of gains in one way or another regardless of what tuning part is fitted.
Its THE way they make there money.
Not ALL the claims are true though....

PS it looks like the sites you looking at are USA ones. If you do take the plunge,,,Make sure they will sell headers for a RHD car, most are for LHD versions + the steering column gets in the way on our RHD cars....

yeah, I took more credence from the reports on rennlist than the racers edge site, as it is trying to sell its own product. It'd be cheaper, for me anyway, to get something fabricated at a place in Macclesfield I know. Either way it doesn't matter - unless my boss decides to double my pay....


P.S Does anyone know if Chip Wizards are still in business? I can't get an answer on the phone and the webiste has now disapeared altogether!

They will if Ceram coated internally as the flange moves more than the headers when hot and will need webbing to keep square

Mine were just coated externally in an effort to try and lower the under bonnet temp and to protect the fibreglass parts. I guess some webbing may help, as the flange is rather large when compared to the pipe (said the actress to the Bishop [8D]).

Anyway, my contribution to this thread is that in my experience, ceramic coating was more hassle than it was worth. I shall just make do with a heat shield fitted below the heater matrix transfer pipe.
