s2 ignition leads

Jason,

Thanks for asking.

Yes, I have. He is having difficulty sourcing the OE-quality ends (which are the expensive bit), but will come back to me with a firm price before the end of the week.

I'll keep this thread updated.

Hi Oli,

I might be interested in a set too as they are one of the only things I haven't replaced at some point.

Just a thought.....do you know if they may be available in different colours? [:)].....well somebody was bound to ask weren't they? I was thinking of maybe red for that 'look at me - I'm new' effect [:D]

Wolfie,
Dunno about the colours. I'll ask.
As and when I get a price from the supplier then I'll post it up here, with the answer to the colours question ... although, to be quite honest, the speed with which the chap is getting a price for me makes me wonder whether the leads themselves would ever materialise ...
I'll keep you all posted.

Chaps,

OK, dragging this one back from way beyond the dead.

I have finally had a price for leads from the chap in question. £102.96p each, for five sets (so needing five people to go for this), excl. VAT and postage. It would come to around £125-130ish each. With a 3-week lead time.

I need some leads at fairly short notice now (I think the old ones are starting to break down), and hence I won't be going with this. While these are going to be top-quality leads, I think the logistics may well mean that quite a lot of people are no longer interested either. If there are five people who want to go ahead with this then I would be happy to co-ordinate the buying and distribution (I feel slightly responsible given that I started the whole idea off), but would need payment up front and it would be a month or so before you saw your leads.

Let me know what you think.

For reference, Bert at Berlyn is quoting £124 for S2 leads, again excluding VAT and postage, and other suppliers may or may not be cheaper. I notice that Euro Car Parts are offering free delivery on everything at the moment and their prices are (as usual) keen.
