Sad news

Popped out to fill the tank up this evening and the car didn't make it back; not sure if there was oil or leaves but off road excursion resulted and ended against a tree - front end is no more. Now for the derisory offer from the insurers[] and the pang of loss everyrime I go in the empty garage.

Sorry to hear it, it's a sad fact that a few cars go this way every year. Hope you came out of it OK, they might not have as many electronic aids as modern cars but they are made from girders! [&o]

I hope you've got a Club valuation, if not e-mail me and I'll see if I can be any help with the insurers. I can't do as much as a proper valuation in advance of a claim, but a letter form me has helped Members before.

Bad luck matey. Sometime it would be handy if these cars did have traction control - they can sometimes catch you out. I had a couple of close shaves in mine and I wasn't doing anything particularly daft in it at the time either. Oh well, at least you're OK.
