Scary at high speed

Re: desnorkel, i cannot see anywhere that will allow drawing in engine compartment hot air any different to standard
see pic http://www.xclusivecar.com/DSC01717.JPG as you see this compartment is still sealed to the engine after the removal of the snorkel.

If you think otherwise then just dont do it Id say [;)]

Thanks Liz for the info about the air splitters. I have just checked mine and there isn't much left of either of them!

Is this something that must be got from an OPC or did you get them elsewhere?

Whilst removing the air splitters I noticed that another piece of plastic (more like a scoop) that connects to the air splitters was missing from one side. So if these bits of plastic really do make a difference to the feel of the car at higher speed, my car is bound to be effected by the lack of them!

No problem, got mine from Porschapart - they should know me by name there now..cost a princely £4.00 each. I bought a couple of spares whilst I was at it!

Thought I'd post an update.

I would like to say a big "Thank You" to Liz... Those bits of plastic have turned the car into something great. The car has been totaly transformed, solid on the road and all signs of vibration have been completely eliminated!

This is now the car I wanted to own...

I too replaced the air-splitters after hearing this advice. They're 8 quid each from the OPC but they do make a difference IMO.

Glad it worked for you, just be careful with speed humps they tend to catch if you approach a bit quick, or going down a steep hill with a dip at the bottom!! Hence the reason I have a spare pair in my garage!
