Yes back from hospital, Surgery (4.5 hours) went prefectly according to the surgeon. Still waiting on the biopsy of the tumour but fingers crossed. Have been told to rest and not to expect any change for a couple of months, Medication will continue towards end of 2016 with hope that the body stops producing bad anitbodies and I get remission from condition but will have ongoing scans for rest of life. Certainly hope so.
I am going to make PCGB Xmas party - but no booze and not stopping over and back home early to bed. Desperate to get out as have hardly done anything for nearly 3 months.
One thing I will say is that with the NHS, the work, time and commitment that most of the staff have, has been amazing. My surgery ward was the main one for lung cancer, (me having something rare - i was in the minority) but if you smoke - give it up for xmas, stats are 20% survival rate at 5 years with 62 average age, with most in the 50 to 70 age bracket.
Cheers all,
Scottie.

Have to agree with you about the NHS, I've never had anything but phenomenal care and been really grateful for it too, like you a real life saver. When I hear folk moan about it I sometimes wonder if they are in the same world as me.
All the best for Xmas!
