Scumrun

I can recommend the Scally Rally, we did Rimini two years running with them and this year we are doing the Mille Miglia with them. Also any excuses to get the photos of the Carlton out, the car we took the 1st year. It was a GSI 24v and took us ages to cut all the graphics out and stick on!

Homesea are you on the scally forum?
I'm Wayner007 on there too, doing Millie Miglia in a Porsche 944 funnily enough.
Did road to rimini with them in 2008 in a red arrows style BMW.

Yes I am, but don't post often.
I think I must of talked to you, did the exhaust fall off the BMW?
In 2008 we were in a Matt black Rover 600.
We havent sorted a car for this year. I wanted an Alegro but the others were not to keen!

That's me on the left, and yep the exhaust did fall off at Calais so we ran the rest of the rally with no exhaust[:D] Was a bit loud couldn't hear a thing in the car with the windows open. Unbolted itself at the manifold and was so tucked up out the way we left it for the rest of the rally.
Clutch went as I went to pick my mate(Rob) up from the station before we left Swindon. Got all the way to Dover with two of us changing gear and took it to a local garage who got us to pump the clutch as he had a dig around and undone the cap which seemed to do the trick so we ran like that for the rest of the rally. Every time she got a bit stiff take the cap off pump the clutch good for another 500 miles. Needed jump starting after driving a couple of days which we had off another team from their car, got some funny looks at the toll booths getting shoved through then push started on the other side.
All good fun though and can remember the Rover now.
Are you going to the meeting this weekend at Stratford raceway? going to be there on the Sunday.
What car are you going for this year then? getting close now. There's a Maestro on autotrader at the moment for the brave>

The exhaust also fell off the Rover at the down pipe. We couldnt handle the noise with the hang-over we all had after the last night party so took it to the scrapyard.
Dont know if I can make it this weekend. Cheers for the heads up on the MG, looks cool.
Read some of your posts on SR forum, if you still need a fuel rail, injectors or fuel reg for the 944 let me know as I have one from a 86 Lux taking up room.
