Here is an image of one fitted to the drivers seat.....

I notice there is a cutout for the airbag if needed...

They seem to be made of a tough material and they fit well. The backing stops them sliding around.

Very pleased with them.

With dog in place!

Superb! (S)he looks very happy!

Liking the side panel options you chaps took, I do miss that. Still, Ernie has just spent 56 hours and 2,610 miles here…

Seat covers look a great idea, just found the company, local in Hinkley, just what I am after thanks for that.
Shame their not stock as we are on a road trip Saturday to collect another dog.

Definitely a good idea and these are very hard-wearing. I'm still pleased with them and my Weimaraner loves going in the car. She's probably quite good security as well.

Ok guys, I like the sound of some of these.

Can I make a recommendation from personal experience.

Capital seating are a great company to buy from:

https://www.capitalseating.co.uk/protective-seat-covers

If they don't have seat cover, pop your car down to them for half a day and they will make bespoke templates of you car seats and create covers for you and the 992 for future orders.

Great quality, waterproof and fit just right.
I have had a couple of pairs for my Honda Type R's in the past.

They are an official retrimmer/ repair specialist for RECARO.

Based near Beaumont Leys, Leicestershire.

Can you confirm where these were bought from?
Thanks, Paul.

We are going to foster trainee guide dogs. We are about to get a lab or german shepherd. The trainer has said that depending on the personality of the dog he would be happy for it to travel in the back of the 992. Does anyone have any experience of a large dog in the back and secondly would the padded seat protectors pictured above be suitable for a larger dog? Thanks

I spoke to the manufacturers last year regarding the back seat covers for the 992. They said that due to lockdown they had not been able to get a vehicle from their local Porsche dealer to make the templates. Can’t see any 992 covers on the web site. Not sure if the 991.2 covers would fit?

I also enquired about the 991.2 covers fitting in a 992 and they said definitely not. They were prepared to give a hefty discount if I could take my car to them so they could template some correct covers.

They have rear seat covers for 991. I wanted for a 992 so I sent pictures of the rear seats and they said the 991 version would not fit. They are prepared to make a version for the 992 but someone needs to take a 992 to them so they can make the template.
