Seats back after a retrim

Looks really good Martin. Actually this seat option was available for Silver Rose. There are about 5-6 Silver Roses here in Finland and one of them have factory original Sport Seats, just like yours.
I change last year interior to my friend's (also my neighbour) Silver Rose (68KKM car). His car was sold originally in Japan. Car came to Finland around 4 years ago. Finnish importer garaged it two years and then brought car to me to be modified for LHD. Actually car is LHD, i just changed headlights, so car was able to put under Finnish registration. Car sat outdoors in southern Japan 10-years. Color was badly faded and interior was sun burnt as well, with cracked dashboard. We changed dashboard to good one. I also managed to purchase mint condition seats from Germany. Car had originally half leather style Silver Rose interior (like your new sports are), but replacement ones were full cloth. Original back seat had also weird factory installed "child seats". These are burgundy leatherette padded aluminium plates. I have seen similar on some other japan market are 944's. Actually a friend of mine have similar on his Japan import S2 cabriolet. My friend gave car's original seats to me, including those weird paddings. I have now two sets of project Silver Rose seats, the plan is to convert both sets to Sport ones. This is actually quite easy task to do, have done this to one pair of normal black leather seats. Some welding is needed when new seat frames are made. Also some leather work was needed. I only need a Silver Rose [;)]

Hi Olli

Would be good to get your friends car on the Silver Rose Turbo S Register I've started.

Ask him if he would put his details on [:)]

We tried to do that, but at final steps ran into difficulties and got "No page found" notification.

Tried to add car's info again. At the final got again: Not Found. The requested URL was not found on this server.
I am using Chrome browser.

There shouldn't be any issues with Google Chrome or MS Internet Explorer, I will speak to our IT man.

Were you doing it with or without pictures?

If you PM me the details I will add them now

I tried it with MS Explorer. Had same issues. I did it with one picture. I can send you all the info i have available.

Doorcards next? [:D]

I must say I prefer the original seats - although I'm probably in a minority here. Sports seats are very comfy though

I have enough material to do the door cards so yes, that may be the next job [;)]

I think if the seats hadn't faded over the years and still had that bright colour then I wouldn't have changed them, but once I decided I was re-trimming them it seemed the right thing to do to put sports seats in. I have the originals stored away if I ever get bored

Absolutely - you can't lose then really... (just need 2 sets of doorcards as well [:D])
