Seems a bit pricey . . . . . ?

Damen as Tony says exceptional items will always sell to long term investor/collectors at big money. I just query what the actual price for a decent (original panel and paint for instance) standard RHD lightweight is. 100k seems too high to me but as few are for sale I guess it's hard to judge what people will pay until there are a few for sale?

Hey ho must stop talking values in RS threads....

Soon we won't be able to afford the petrol to put in them soon!!

Also, I wonder whether the midnight blue 2,000 miles rhd lwt made the £120k it was on for?

Damen

I don't beleive the 2k mile rhd lwt sold. I spoke to Sam at Paul Stephens earlier this week, he claims to have sold a RHD lwt for £85k in the last year, and he believes SCoM have sold two RHD cars above £90k in this last year. All these cars went overseas.

Interestingly SCoM have put a 4k mile RHD lwt on their website today, as ever, no price mentioned, but I'd imagine it will be north of £100k - even with the wrong steering wheel and monkey bum seats [&o]

All those cars went to same HK buyer.

4200 miles in 19 years...nice car but 225 miles a year is just so so so so so so sad[&o][&o]

Jason, I agree with you, again !

But as you quite correctly pointed out to me, the market decides.

Maybe the modern cars are just too big to put in the average dining room ?

I remain totally convinced that these cars need 2 to 3k miles per year to keep everything working ....

As Paul W. says, otherwise it's like keeping a beautiful wife and saving her for somebody else ??? [:D][:D]

And that is exactly how he grins when he says it !

It's only a matter of time till Porsche stop them using that website address...

Not really Jason, these two have been trading under their current names for quite some time without issues  . . . . . .

http://www.911box.co.uk/

http://www.911virgin.com/

911 is not trademarked

It's the fact the website address is www.used-Porsche.co.uk in the link.

Believe you me Porsche WILL shut that web address down when they do their web sweeps and see it.

They take their trademark of the word Porsche very very very seriously...that's why not a single dealer or parts trader has their name or web address with it....for very long!
