Should I live a bit ?

Do it!

Don't stick to the bigger roads, either; there are so many great roads down here that would put a huge smile on your face (e.g. drive right over the top of Dartmoor via Princetown, instead of using the A30/38).

No salt down here this week (and then only on those main roads).

Well I did use the black 944 in the end to shoot down to Cornwall, early start this morning, fan belt gave a little squeal to wake the neighbours up so they will love me loads now, 250 miles later got down to my parents in laws to meet up with mrs and kids (they have been down there a few days),am now away with mrs for a couple of nights having left kids behind so will probably follow the advice in post above this one[:D]
Car ran really well,it's so quiet in standard factoryish tune compared to the red one,you can tell it was designed for eating up the miles. It did feel happier and smoother after an hour or so of driving,I can confirm the LSD still works really well[:D]
Will give it a thorough wash when I get home, just I case I picked up any salt[:D]

Hope you had a great time and you're back home now..

Just got back, car ran peachy over the 500 odd miles, really glad I used it,only things I was not keen on was the lights didn't seem quite powerful enough at times on the M5 tonight ,and the Contis that feel great in the dry and in full on rain feel not great on damp or drying road surfaces...
Apart from that was lots of fun.
