shssssh don't tell the Cayman Register

All true, but buying a 991 C2S Cab for £105K+ is always going to lose more than a dinky little Boxster for £40K

Moreover, I only save on depreciation by buying secondhand Ferraris.. I bought my 430 for £90K, sold it for £90K, (with just 1500 miles on the clock, so as new), yet it was £160K initially.

Ferraris are wonderful cars, loads of WOW and what a sound. But the WOW wears off and then you are left with an temperamental Italian mistress.

And you try and put it back in your garage in the dead of night after consuming a dozen pints.... Not that I did, you understand [:D]

As you say Derek, Italian Mistresses can be temperamental but the best choice of driver's car you have made was a Cayman S, not a Boxster.[:D][:D][:D]

Yes, but you have to understand that I lost the plot years ago.

I even bought a Morgan... what does that say about me (exiting stage left to find bobble hat) [:D]

First sports car I rode in was a cousin's Morgan 4/4 I wanted one for years until I sat in one again but meantime the Porsche bug had got to me, I feel I made the better choice...[:D][:D]

Actually, I wrote an article for Porsche Post way back in June 2006 comparing my Morgan with my Cayman S. Reading the conclusion now makes realise how stupid I was then! [:D] Don't answer that!

Very wise comments.

Of course it is all horses for courses. None of us are the same.

However, I have found it very interesting that I actually prefer my 'little' 2.7 Boxster to my mighty Ferrari 430 Spider. One cost £40K, the other cost £160K.

Explain that! [:D]
Same here I had a Ferrari 430 costing me £137k and much prefer my 50% cheaper 981S , suppose to be fair the Boxster has come a long way in 5 years and if I now had a 458 I would say different.........but I don't want another Ferrari , quite content, and that's what life is all about!
