Side window frame bubbling

Sorry, only just seen this or I would have replied earlier. No the side windoews are not covered in the warranty against corrosion. The reason is that they feel that the constant touch of drivers hands when shutting the door causes corrosion, yes, thats official.
If you remember the recent little tale I told ref body corrosion warranty ------ -----I had my side widows fully refurbished £580. (premierbody shop Luton) A new set of frames including all seals is £3000. Yes, thats right.

One tip I would add is to wrap the ends of the cord (I use nylon guy rope) around something that you can pull on so that the cord isn't tightening around your hand. Something akin to a piece of doweling about 1" in diameter and 4" long. (I use two wooden crutch handles but there again I always have them with me).[:)]
Lubricate the rubber, especially if it is new, with a smear of washing up liquid un-diluted.
(Another tip - practice on your neighbour's car first).[:)]
