Just need to book the mot, get some fresh rubber and then I can start on the problems! It owes me £1350 to date, I think I'll be mobile for £1650.

I'm glad you posted all those photos. Was admiring my car in the sunshine at Prescott and noticed the n/s/r wing bubbling just ahead of the rear wheel. Here we go.......

Was the rot showing all the way along or (shock horror) did you just keep digging until there was nothing left?!! Not sure if I want to take a screw driver to it just yet.

Well the passenger side was already a mess when I bought the car, but the drivers side seemed ok. However, once I started to investigate with a screwdriver the panel soon had a large hole in it! same story with the drivers sill, seemed ok but soon full of holes.

The best way to see if there is a problem is to remove the vent that is to the rear of the door shut. You can then get a torch in and see if there is corrosion visible.

Mine may have been quite bad due to a previous 'repair' was made to the rear sill with some flexible filler that trapped the water and rotted them out, bloody cowboys.

Anyway, I'm off to the mot station at 2.30, wish me luck!

Failed [:(]..................

Only a loose foglight bulb [:)], quick wiggle and we had a pass!!!

Tester commented on the good condition of the car, I'm quite chuffed.

That's great news. My heart sank at your first sentance and I was getting ready for a long list. Luckily it was just that bulb [:)]
