Silly speccing question

Sport mode is a function of the chrono pack, it changes the throttle response and according to Porsche uses a different throttle map in the electronics whether that is just a ratio change off the movement of the throttle or more involved I can't really say. It also backs off on the PSM so that it is less intrusive without being turned off.

Regarding it's function relative to the PASM it switches it on whenever the Sport mode is selected but you can over ride and turn PASM off while keeping the response on. The Car is still operating in Active Suspension Management mode as it is whether on or off but not the harder setting. Even in the off position the PASM is active in managing the damping rate, roll etc.

PASM can be operated at any time even when not in sport mode but the sport or sport+ button selection will switch it and sport mode on/off, I can't say how the new short term power boost will effect the use of the chrono pack as it is at present but will be interested to find out when I get the chance.

Sport mode on PASM is the firm suspension setting already described. The lowering of the ride height by 10mm is a Good Thing. I have specced the -20mm Sport PASM on my 718 CS PDK. This is a brand new feature for the Cayman, and I'm hoping it works out ok......... With the 20" Carrera Sport wider wheels it should certainly fill the wheel arches.

Selecting Sport Chrono remaps the throttle response to a more sensitive and sporty modulation, also it backs off the intervention of the ABS, PSM and the switches off the "soft" rev limiter approach. On Normal mode the rev limiter approach is softened by the retarding of the ignition timing as the revs near the last 1000 or so rpm. When Sport Chrono is engaged the engine will rev normally to the rev limit, whereby the limiter intervenes more abruptly.
