Silverstone Classic 2013

Will do Maurice.
For a little history,
Pegasus (named by my daughters - the silver, winged horse) was bought in 2010 from Nick Moss of Early911. He had her as his track car from 2007 and was owned from 1999-2007 by Silverstone - as I understand, she was the one of the instructor cars on the Supercar experience. Not much in the way of History before 2005, but she's straight and had a repaint (except roof) last year. She's a daily driver with summer, winter and track wheel sets. Roock tuned with exhausts, larger throttle body, K&N with sports airbox, Strut brace, remap, PSS10s, H&R swaybars, 997 wheels, EBC brake pads, braided hoses, et cetera.....should be in the region of 300bhp....nice balance.

She was my 10th Porsche, have bought and sold 4 since, but she's really too good to lose. I would say I used to be a 964 addict, but this 993 just blows me away. Daily 'mule' with 4 seats to collect my 3 daughters from school, within an hour she can have a harness bar, Recaro Pole positions and semi-slicks on and she's ready for a track outing. Perfect in every way.

I managed to get my car into the PCGB area last year on the Sunday morning, thanks to a loan of a parking pass.

Looking forward to it !

Best regards,

Jon

P.S. I can also speak reasonable English (originally from Yorkshire [:D])

Is anyone daring to camp on the silverstone campsite ?

If so we'll be there with the 993 and 80's targa. Come and say hello and have a beer if you see us.

regards

Hi jon,

Just read your post about the history of your car and thought this may be of interest. Taken around 8 years ago at Silverstone on one of their 'experience' days. This was the car that made me think " I've just got to have one of these one day."
Sorry if you needed a new clutch upon purchase - took a little getting used to !
You'll be pleased to hear we overtook many Ferraris on our brief excursion round the circuit.

Hope to see you and it at the weekend.

regards

Outstanding eaurouge, many thanks.
Do you have a higher resolution version and could you send it to me (jon@kent.lu) ?

Had a great time at the Classic and will be back next year for sure.
Met some great people, old and new friends.
Those driving these cars generally have an 'air of cool' around them [;)]

All the very best,

Jon

Gutted.......it's not actually Pegasus.....
Quick internet search and find a rear one of the number 2 car.
Mine has no 3rd brakelight spoiler, no rear wiper and no aerial in the roof.
Shame (not allowed to type my first comment)[:D].
Thanks anyway,
Jon
