So who is up for Rutland this year?!

Tom, Oli and I have been talking offline about arranging a meet at Rutland this year.
Huge thanks to Andy for organising the last few years and for the tips on how to set it up. I hope you can still make it mate!
We're planning a slightly different format this year where we meet up for tyre kicking as usual but don't arrange a sit down pub meal. If people want to eat then we could use the Cafe there (if there is a lot of interest I will give them a heads up!).
I have pencilled in a date of 24th April with the Anglian Water folks who run the Rutland Water site.

So... who is up for it? Please put your name down if you are interested and can make it.
  1. Rob (robdimond)
  2. Oli (zacogp)
  3. Tom (monkeythree)
Mods can you make this thread sticky please?

I'm in as usual. Guess I had better start thinking about getting her off the axle stands and bringing her out of hibernation.

I'd love to look at a load of 944s. Would I be ostracised if I showed up with a couple of extra cylinders and the engine behind me?

I came in my Boxster 2 years ago and was completely shunned... [:D] (not sure if that was anything to do with the car though..)

The only problem with not coming in a 944 is that you'll want to buy one..

oh and yes, I'm in

Right, finally got my head around the two separate threads.....

So, managed to fit the AFM & rebuilt TPS/Throttle body last night car started perfectly and runs ok at tickover.

So, pending a run up to full temperature and blast at WoT I'll be there on the 24th April !

Looking forward to seeing you all, Mike we could head up in convoy from Brampton Hut ?

Chris

The old tub refuses to start - turns over but will not fire - fresh MOT too - methinks this will be another year gone by before I know it. See you at Rutland 2017 (hopefully).

Stickied for you, and thanks for organising this chaps. [:)]

I'm definitely interested but it's a bit of an eye-opener. 5 1/2 hours each way for me now! It'll depend on work as well, as it'll be an overnight stay for me now I guess.

I'm a possible...it's about time I got out to a 944 meet, it's been a while....lol ....I will know for sure closer to the date and will let you guys know..

regards

Pete

It's bloody miles away from Newcastle upon Tyne but my sister-in-law lives up the road in North Muskham so may stay there on Saturday night to put names to faces.

I'm in for this on the 24th April.

Agreed Chris, we should meet and convoy from the "hut".

Last year saw approx 20 cars meet at Peterborough services just off the A1, who is up for meeting there or Brampton Hut?

Mike

I've just realised that Rutland clashes with an important Rugby Tournament (Under 9's not me...) so we'll have to head up straight after the tournament !

Aha, is this a Turbo SE running scared of my "mere" S2? ??

No probs mate

Roll up, roll up. I shall be providing prizes for the furthest travelled on the day and the highest and lowest mileage cars that make an appearance. Anyone travelling down from Scotlandshire should be in with a good chance of at least one!
