All the best, Doug.
Sounds good Doug, count me in. Cheers Neil

Put me down as provisional. Should be able to sort it as long as nothing unexpected comes up with work. Hopefully see you on the 23rd at the end of the M65 ! [;)]

Yeh, been doing some reconnaissance for new routes and new lunch venues for days out! [:D]

ORIGINAL: spyderman Ah, The Trout - one of Morse's favourites! Can get pretty heaving in summer!
http://www.thetroutoxford.co.uk/ Yeh, it's just a shame I couldn't find any good roads going to and coming away from the pub ie. too far out of the way from my main route with 30 mins of traffic filled roads either side of the lunch stop [&:]

I've had some lovely lunchtime snacks there [:D] On a summers day it is busy, but easy to see why [8D] garyw

I have just been gently reminded that this is our anniversary and anniversary weekend (10 year's I'd be out in less for Murder) So apologies gents but discretion being the better part of valor I might have to miss this one. Let me know if you are doing any others.............

Have long been a fan of Buttertubs (especially) and Tan Hill. I like the unfenced character of Buttertubs and many roads on the N Yorks Moors. So I took your advice and gave Settle - Hawes via Ribblehead a try yesterday. Great, challenging road whose short straight sections between tight corners mean you can really rev the engine without feeling the need to change up or dangerously exceed speed limits. Settle is only 45 mins from home so I'll look to combine it with the Tan Hill run for a bigger day out some day soon. I go to the Lakes often, combining a varied and "spirited" drive with a quick hike in the hills. Try Kirkstone pass from Troutbeck to Patterdale in both directions. Not as steep as Hardknott or Wrynose, with better forward visibility, so you can really press on... if there are no caravans in the way...

Did that last September on a week in the lakes - Awesome drive, even the local with the heavily modified Integra R didn't seem too put out with me slowing him down[:D]

Ah the lakes, you've got to be up early or lucky to enjoy a blast up there (traffic!)...you should try doing Kirkstone pass on a bicycle!

Doug I know of another Turbo owner that had the same happen [:(] If not fitted correctly the 'O' ring can split and the hose pops off.... As you say, thank thank goodness for warranty.. garyw

I allow mine to be collected and returned from the dealer, saves me time and thats what the limiters for...[;)] Its not a regular fault and I was lucky to get to hear about it from the guy who rescued the car... garyw

Doug, Yes we're always happy to hear about a good response from the OPC [:D] Which it certainly sounds like in your case[:)] I've recently had the high tone horn replaced on mine. You'll see from the warranty survey that quite a few owners have had them replaced (they fill up with water [&:]) Like you I don't use the horn that often! If you can post the faults done and mileage into the warranty thread in the 997 members only section it will increase the responses which gives a better overview. At least it does seem your getting all the issues out of the way in one go [;)] garyw
