SOS Advice Please

To get the key cut from Porsche you will probably need the cars V5 in your name, you dont need the old one to apply for it

having waded through all the papers we have at last found the V5 !!!

However, my challenge is that to switch keeper, the document has to be jointly signed by the old & new keeper.Clearly this is now not possible as my dad has passed away.

At this stage we have yet to complete probate.

I suspect I may need to speak to a solicitor as to whether I really do need to await probate- or whether my mum can sign on my dads behalf ?

iJust get Mum to sign on your late fathers behalf. Don't think the DVLA have any means to cross check anyway.
