Great road trip guys - so pleased we could all make it. I really enjoyed catching up with everyone. Love the new car Kevin - its a peach (even if a pink one). Very fresh, and we all thought you were very brave for driving it - keep it up.

Hugh,
Thanks for the perspective on the car, I was delighted with the way it drove - it has a real "new old car" feel to it, the odometer just turned over 13k km on the way home - need to work on the driving skills now, it has more to give as evidenced by the way that you came past me at Spa and Zand in yours - must bag those pax laps next time!

Great to see all - what a great trip and what a nice bunch of people!

Cheers,
kevin

And many thanks for Dekker for letting me drive his car! A very well set up and fast C2!

You were most welcome Phil, to show me how well the car handles. It was great meeting you and your wife.
Keep us updated on your new car when it arrives.

Good pics David. [:)] I'm glad Ozzie enjoyed his laps with me in my last session on track at Zandvoort...unfortunately the memory card filled up just as we left the pitlane so there's no GoPro footage to show him. [] Must remember to take separate memory cards for the two tracks next year!

He was very grateful of your friendliness in letting him go with you.
He's a very shy lad so I hope he said how much he liked it.

Most of the pictures were done by Hazel, I took the first 2.

Must work out when next time is - seriously - we had such a great time, it was lovely to know 80% of paddock and have such a great time on and off track. Great to see you all. RS register is a real community!

I thought Zandvort was a cracking circuit, very fast and very technical. Sorry if we were some of the caterhams hassling you steve, I have to say, we did come up on a lot of the tin tops pretty quickly. Unlike Spa.

Hugh, you guys in the Caterhams were great and never an issue. Whereas, the BaT cats often went round in packs and assumed that if we let one through then they could all zip through...I know of two close calls when our guys didn't spot a second or third one making a late lunge past them.

.....it was a great trip .....respect to Kevin for bringing the low mileage Rubystone Clubsport out to play .....and well done Steve for the excellent planning .

The Gruppenfuhrer was guest driver in my car , which was good fun.....I was very confident that he would not bin it in spite of the inconvenience of no working turn indicators and heater jammed on full blast.

Here is an unexpurgated video clip of an exploratory lap at Zandvoort

That was good when you finally got going but I think Mel needs a bit of practice at driver changes if he ever enters Le Mans! [:D]

Lol - good pic steve. We did find and fix the leak. We had a lot of fun on the sighting laps! Flat through Eau Rouge in a Defender 90 was very amusing.

Phil nice to meet you finally and catchup. Hopefully you've got a reply to your note?

Thanks David. This one is probably a better example and the wheel tracks clearly show the 'keep off the kerbs in the wet' line. [:D]

Steve the kerbs are fine on the entrance to Eau Rouge, its Radion at the top only where you need to keep off. You can carry a lot of speed using the entrance kerbs.

Yes watched a lot of it through the stream (a good hours or so), note all the shunts were at Radion,, none on the first 2 apex's . Whilst we are on Spa / Eau Rouge clips.....saw this - loved it.

Wow, no lift... I'd like to try this out but believe that I would need a 997/991 cup. Anyone here wishes to loan me one? [;)]
