Hi all thanks for the positive comments on the GTS coupe. I picked her up from my local OPC on Friday evening as 1)I could not wait[] and 2)saturday was forecast _ and was_ a filthy day. I must say my OPC had done a great job preparing the car and the black RS Spyder wheels really show off the calipers I believe it may be less of an issue (or even a non issue?) for PDK than manual but I also insisted in seeing the rev bands print out and the car has only ever been in band 1 or 2 _ (12k miles) that sounds good news although I don't know of that indicates too much town driving?_anyway not overrevved at least. They know me by now I'm a bit sad about keeping the car looking pristine with lots of TLC and Swissvax after a good drive and was nervous about a black car after having this colour before a few years ago. They allowed their detailer to spend 3/4 day giving it the full clay bar/mechanical to get out some (minor) swirls i had noticed and applying swissvax treatment and did not charge me ! yep FOC.(you are probably suspicious like me thinking i must have paid for it in trade allowance for the C2S or or price for the GTS but I was very happy with both ends of the deal before they threw that in[] afetr we had agreed the numbers. So first impressions__ got a few miles in on a wet Saturday and a good dry drive Winchester Direction Sunday morning. The Alcantara works well on the steering wheel and i lthink it works on the seat centres and the inside is definately a step up from my gen 1 as regards the PCM /nav. I also like the black instrument dials (oh god is it getting a bit Nightrider ish) I could rave about the PDK paddle shift,(interestingly i dropped over to a friend with a 12 plate GTS cabriolet on Sunday and he has "buttons" on the wheel not the paddles,he thinks because he has multi function wheel _i think i have the better option IMO) I think it is superb.I loved my manual gear box and although I have driven a few cars on the track (to the best of my limited ability) with paddles over the years i was a bit all over the place on Saturday in manual paddle mode. However after an hour or so on Sunday in sport chrono mode, settling down with left foot braking i got in the grove and the car was sorted! she feels much more planted and although the steering had more weight than the C2S it was not a bad thing (the feel instantly reminded me of a few happy hours i spent driving a Gt3 RS 3.8 and RS 4.0 last year _i suppose that's possible: not saying it was the same but the memory came staright back) and the turn in was clinically good_i suppose that's the combination of stiffer springs, wider front track and wider body. The motor is awesome and although i will wait for drier days and a few more miles/familiarity before pushing in sports chrono plus it suprises me how a few more HP can make such a difference to the power and delivery_ also the PDK deliverd the power in a single stream quite different from the manual experience and i would say no less engaging. tony
Maybe see you on a PCGB track day in 2013 - good to hear you are pleased with it

Pleased you're enjoying the new beast. I think the paddles and the less cluttered steering wheel suit the car IMO. I had the MFSW previously and whilst it was handy to be able to change the volume/take a call using the buttons, I prefer the feel of the alcantara. Same with the seats, nice grip from those centres. Mine's loosening up a bit more now, it does feel different from my old GenII 'S. Look forward to seeing it at some stage. I believe it is the term for automatic, PDK in this case. There is also a web site, www.howmanyleft.co.uk
Semi-automatic, I believe ie PDK.ORIGINAL: shorthouse What is SA? ... PDK perhaps?
